Staying Sharp

See how the Birchwood Team is staying sharp!

Kimmie successfully completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM exam this month. She started the education requirement in October 2017 through the CFP® Certification program at Mankato State University.

Rachel had the opportunity to attend Rachel Hollis’ RISE Conference in Dallas which filled a room with over 8,000 woman from all walks of life coming together to be inspired, supported and enveloped in a community. The objectives were focused solely on personal growth with very tangible takeaways on how to be the best version of yourself and work toward your life’s goals in a very strategic way.

Damian, Kay and Steve recently attended the annual USSIF (The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment) Annual Conference, which happened to be in Minneapolis this year.  This was a great way to network with leaders of the sustainable, responsible and impact investing community and to learn about new approaches, trends and policy developments in the field.

After Hours

See what the Birchwood team has been up to outside of work.

Bridget and Ellen enjoyed a trip to the United Kingdom and toured a number of different sites including the spot of the Beatles' Abby Road album cover, Buckingham Palace, Stonehenge as well as attended the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

As Stacey's son Raja, prepares to start his Senior year at Lakeville North, he has officially announced his commitment to NDSU next year. Her youngest son Najee is starting high school and playing football and basketball.

Dana went fly fishing for her first time in Park City Utah and she actually caught a few fish.

Rachel’s family  spent some time in Brainerd with the twins who love swimming more and more every day. Sunscreen, sand and water are their happy place!

Damian officially wrapped up his summer softball coaching duties and excitedly took 2 weeks off before jumping back in with Fall Ball! The good news is that Fall Ball is relatively low key so he and his family will be able to get up north for plenty of visits to the lake. The girls are all excited to be heading back to school so they can see their friends and catch-up on all the fun summer activities they took part in. Jill is probably more excited than anyone for back to school!!! In early October, the whole family will be heading to Tucson for 5-days for Damian’s niece’s wedding and Finley gets to play the lucky part of Flower Girl so she’s incredibly pumped to pick out her new fancy dress!

Dana, Marc and Kimmie were in Manhattan Beach, CA cheering on fellow Minnesotan, Tim Bomgren (friend of Kimmie’s) play in the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) tournament.  If they weren’t watching the incredible athletic talent on the court, they were enjoying playing the game themselves.
